ABOUT

Safety Harbor is a quant city on the West shore of Tampa Bay. It’s part of Pinellas County and was settled in 1823. Although settled in 1823, the area now known as Safety Harbor has been around since the Stone Age. Ancient artifacts such as a 6,000 year old spearhead have even been found in Marshall Street Park. In addition to the spearhead, they have also found pottery, shells, stone, and copper. Many of the shells found were used to pave city streets. Safety Harbor is famous for its  historic Espiritu Santo Springs, or also known as “Springs of the Holy Spirit”. It is a natural mineral spring, and is supposedly similar to the  mythical “Fountain of Youth”. You can still even visit it today. The Springs now have a hotel, spa, and even bottle their own water. It’s designated as a Historical Landmark and is the pride of the city. Safety Harbor is the city you didn’t know you were missing!
